Rhino Sports™ Gets Kids In Play at Arizona Diamondbacks Fan Fest
Phoenix, Arizona, February 24, 2007 – The Arizona Diamondbacks began buliding excitiement for the 2007 Major League Baseball season with their annual Fan Fest, held this past Saturday at Chase Field. Rhino Sports was there to get fans in on the action. Kids were invited to take batting practice on three wiffle ball fields that were sponsored by Rhino Sports. Diamondbacks Training Centers coaches were on hand to teach young people “how to play the D-Backs way”.
The mini-baseball diamond-size fields, constructed by Rhino Sports and set up outside Chase Field, were a huge hit with Fan Fest participants. Young fans enjoyed swinging for the fences while their parents mingled with Arizona Diamondbacks players and broadcasters. Among the number of pros who joined in on the wiffleball play were Livan Hernandez and Jose Valverde, who clearly enjoyed the casual interaction with the general public and generated big smiles for fans of all ages.
The 2007 Fan Fest also featured autograph sessions with over a dozen players, including Randy Johnson and Tony Pena, as well as question-and-answer sessions with players and broadcasters. It was the first opportunity for fans to purchase single game tickets for the upcoming season home games, and many enjoyed concurrent events including the live music stage, memorabilia sale, photo booth, and an interactive “you make the call” play-by-play video booth.
